Tech firm offers mentors for India students

Having a mentor can offer a student a unique learning experience. Nutanix, a leading technology company in India, has launched a mentorship program, inviting Christel House India – Bangalore high schoolers to connect with career professionals.

It’s called the Junior Nutant Program. Christel House India students are paired with at least two Nutanix employees (aka Nutants). Having two mentors for each participant gives students access to multiple perspectives as they explore potential careers in technology. “The Junior Nutant Program reinforces our priority of identifying and mentoring young minds to bring innovative ideas to the market,” says Sankalp Saxena, SVP and MD-Operations, India, Nutanix. “Mentors give students a perspective outside of the traditional education system and offer a glimpse of what things are like in the real world.” Students are embracing the program. “My ambition is to become a computer engineer, and the Junior Nutant Program is helping me learn new computer languages like python, C++ & C,” says Meghana, Grade 9. “I am in the process of creating a website using these languages. I enjoy the Junior Nutant Program it helps me learn new things every session.” Due to the pandemic, the mentors and mentees connect virtually. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students,” says Jaison C. Mathew, Christel House India CEO. “We thank Nutanix and their employees for sharing their experience and knowledge with Christel House students.”
