For children growing up in the slums of Bangalore, vacations on beaches are a distant dream. Not so for 68 eighth graders at Christel House India – Bangalore. They were invited guests to the Royal Goan Beach Club for an all-expenses paid vacation, sponsored by John Spence and the Karma Group. An annual event since 2002, students travel from Bangalore to Goa for ‘Camp Royal,’ a trip that includes luxury accommodations, meals, swimming, painting, magic shows, games, competitions and time on the beach.
