Education
The children of Christel House India come from background where going to school is often an unattainable dream. Most of their family members have had little or no exposure to education and the learning process for the children is fraught with challenges. To ensure that our students do not become discouraged by the challenges they face, Christel House strives to ignite the passion for learning within each child by using creative approaches to teaching, there by making the classes inspiring, interesting, interactive and, most of all, fun. Subjects taught within the curriculum are presented in a manner that creates a sense of wonder and an open appreciation and understanding of the underlying laws that bring our world alive. As the students advance, the curriculum becomes more challenging, emphasizing academic rigor that prepares them to excel in their chosen careers.

Art
Our Art Program is prioritized as a means of therapy so that any emotional distress experienced at home can be articulated and expressed within Christel House India's safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

Music
Exposure to music at a young age helps a child perform better academically. Learning to play an instrument requires patience and discipline. The children of Christel House India are not just talented musicians; they are accomplished composers as well. Musical numbers written by the students are composed and performed for every school assembly and public function.

Language
The medium of instruction is English. The children learn English using our proprietary methodology designed for teaching English to students from non – English speaking backgrounds. Hindi and Kannada are also part of the curriculum.
By the time our students reach Middle School, they are fluent in English and study literary classics, prose, poetry and drama. They also study Hindi and Kannada classics, including works by Munshi Premchand, Bhaktaendra Harishchandra, Sri Kuvempu and K S Narasimha Swamy.
Science Program
The Science Program at Christel House India encourages learning through experimentation. Our students are challenged to think independently and to develop their capacity for critical thinking and reasoning through the study of Science. Donations from the Target Corporation India Private Limited, Dell International Services and Give India have funded the construction of fully equipped Chemistry, Physics and Biology labs that address the requirements of the state and national curricula.
The Library
The Library at Christel House India is one of the most impressive facilities on our campus. A large, comfortable and colorful space for quiet reading, it boasts of more than 9000 books for children and young adults. Our research and reference sections allow for monitored Internet access and contain an extensive collection of periodicals and academic publications. The original library which was sponsored by the Karma Royal Group has since been upgraded with support from sponsors like Liz Claiborne. Through regular donations from our benefactors, our library continues to expand, offering the exposure and preparation for advanced education that our children need.
Computer Program
Computer training is emphasized on at Christel House India in order to prepare our students for a technology-enabled world. Cable & Wireless, a global leader in telecom and network services, has sponsored the senior Computer Lab while Target Corporation, the second largest general merchandiser in the USA has sponsored the junior Tech Hub at Christel House India. Computer classes begin in Grade I and every child has individual computer access and an opportunity to learn to navigate the system independently. Regular work with Microsoft applications has made our students experts in operating various Windows programs including Power Point and Excel. More advanced Christel House students are taught to operate programs such as Adobe Premium, Disc Software, Photoshop and PageMaker. Christel House India is well known for its impressive Computer Science Program and our institution has been recognized with numerous awards, nationally and internationally, for computer animation films created by our students.
Inter-House Competitions
Healthy competition between peers is a wonderful way to encourage students to put forth their best effort. Inter-house competitions are held in singing, academic Olympiads, poetry, debates and sports events. Classes also compete for the award for 100% attendance, a prize that is highly revered and coveted at Christel House India.
Field Trips
Field Trips are an important part of our effort to add exposure and excitement to the learning experience Visits to many of Bangalore’s landmark sites including museums, colleges, art galleries, parks, major corporations and government offices, expose our children to the cultural and business vibrance of our city.
Our top students are rewarded each year with a trip to the sunny beaches of Goa where our sponsors, the Karma Royal Group, reserve the Royal Goa Beach Club exclusively for the children’s enjoyment. The students have a great time at Royal Resorts with beach trips, games, magic shows, dancing and other activites specially arranged for them.
